About

christian community of women nashville

Our vision for Abundance Collective is to help believers understand the story of the Bible, how to know God more fully, and how to make all of this practical so we can turn the world upside-down. Our knowledge of God should lead to a lifestyle of worship and service!

Here in North America, we have a wealth of Biblical resources and information at our fingertips, yet, we are noticing a trend in Biblical illiteracy. Right now we are living in a culture where the lines between truth and truth-adjacent are blurred. Because of this, our purpose is to equip women to know God and view the world through his Word.

We desire to help women discover the abundant width, length, depth, and height of God's love, and how relationship with him is rooted in both spirit and truth. Therefore, our mission is to teach Bible and theology, encourage worship through spiritual rhythms, equip with practical tools for outreach, and share in community through events.

All for the glory of God alone!

What

WE BELIEVE

SCRIPTURE - the Bible is the inspired word of God - inspired by the Holy Spirit and penned by man. In this way, the Written Word is both divine and human. It is free from error and will not lead the reader into falling. God’s Word is authoritative and is the standard by which we live and test all things.

2 Timothy 3:16 - All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness

TRINITY - There is one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, & Holy Spirit. All three persons are of equal importance and are worthy of all glory, honor, and praise. He is creator and sustainer of all.

JESUS - The son of God, born of the Virgin Mary - The Living Word is both fully divine and fully human. He lived a sinless life, and gave himself as an atoning sacrifice for the sins of mankind by taking our sin upon his shoulders. Jesus was bodily resurrected, conquering death, ascended into heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father, interceding for believers and awaiting his personal, bodily, and visible return in the Second Coming.

HOLY SPIRIT - The third distinct person of the Trinity who seals believers and empowers them with gifts and fruits, imparts wisdom, and functions as our comforter and counselor. He indwells believers, transforming them to the likeness of Christ.

HUMANITY AND SIN - All humanity is created in the image and likeness of God, and therefore all humanity has inherent value and dignity. We were created to be in relationship with God. The human race fell under Adam’s disobedience and therefore we are all separated from God as a result of our sin nature. Humanity is under just condemnation from a righteous and holy God.

SALVATION - Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in the person and work of Jesus Christ - His atoning death on the cross and resurrection. Salvation cannot be earned by man’s works or goodness, rather through repentance and faith. Whoever puts their trust in Jesus as their Savior will be reconciled to God and find eternal life. This Good News should be shared with everyone in fulfillment of the Great Commission.

CHURCH - All believers are members of the body of Christ and should not forsake meeting together. The church incorporates baptism as a symbol of dying to the flesh and rising to the newness of life. The church also incorporates the Lord’s Supper as a reminder of Jesus’ body that was broken for us and his blood that was shed for our salvation.

SEXUAL ETHIC - We believe in the biblical definition of the sexual ethic in all areas and the biblical definition of marriage as one man and one woman. Each person is purposefully and immutably designed by God as male or female.

NOW MAY THE GOD OF HOPE FILL YOU WITH ALL JOY AND PEACE AS YOU BELIEVE SO THAT YOU MAY OVERFLOW WITH HOPE BY THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. (ROMANS 15:13)
